The certification process at EBR Certification

From quotation to
re-certification

At EBR Certification we make the certification process clear and efficient, so that your organization can get started easily and quickly. Whether you are applying for a new certification or want to switch from another institution: we are here for you!

Request a quote

Simply request a quote via our website or by phone. You will receive a response within 24 hours, in which we will draw up a suitable quote based on your wishes and the applicable guidelines. After approval, we will get started right away!

Schedule an appointment

After approval of the quote, we will schedule an appointment together. Do you have preferences for a specific date? Let us know! We work flexibly and ensure that the planning fits your needs. You will receive a clear planning of the audit day(s) in advance.

Execution of the audit

Our auditor will visit your organization on the agreed date and will carry out the audit in two phases:
Phase 1: Review of your documentation and manual to ensure it meets the standard. This includes interviews with management and employees, a site tour and a review of internal audits and management review.
Phase 2: Assessment of the implementation in practice. Through interviews and random samples we check whether your system fits in with the daily work processes.
In case of deviations, you will have three months to resolve them.

Reporting and control

After the audit, the auditor will draw up a detailed report. This will be assessed in terms of content by our certification decision maker, who will make a final decision. You will receive the report within 1 week.

Certificate Issuance

In case of a positive decision you will receive your certificate within four weeks. This certificate is valid for usually three years, depending on the standard.

Maintenance cycle

To ensure the validity of your certificate, we perform an annual maintenance audit. During these audits, we test whether your system continues to function and meets the standards. After each audit, a new appointment is made for the next one.

Re-certification

Three months before your certificate expires, we perform a recertification. During this, we evaluate not only the operational aspects, but also any changes in your system. This recertification is usually shorter than the initial certification.
